We are very lucky to have some amazing people supporting us on this journey...

Our Community and Friends...

Scottish Prison Service Industries

Having had previous experience of the high quality furniture that S.P.S. Industries produce we are thrilled that they have agreed to work with us again to design and make bespoke furniture for Starting Step.

It is testament to the forward thinking Governors of both Perth and Castle Huntly that Starting Step is able to design educational packages providing quality, person centred training in both horticulture and hospitality. We are working with HMP Perth to bring a commercially run training kitchen that will allow real life working experience.

Starting Step will work with the residents to design, develop and dig a stunning sensory garden. This will bring benefits beyond the obvious planting, and pruning of the produce.

Uppertunity is a social enterprise working with adults with additional needs, learning disabilities and autism, providing skill development, confidence building and social inclusion activities. They focus on an individual’s strengths and aspirations, and then work with them to realise their potential, leading to self-worth and independence.
